Chikai Huang, 41, switched from becoming a project manager to software engineering at a healthcare startup two years ago. Since then, he has received nearly 30 offers from prospective employers from all realms of technology companies on LinkedIn, asking if he is interested in exploring a new opportunity. This never happened in his previous role.
“I just thank them for reaching out and tell them I’m not exploring a career move right now,” he says. On average, he receives one to two messages a month.
