Data-driven healthtech Verily raised a $700 million round from its current investors, including Google parent Alphabet, Silver Lake, Temasek, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and others, the company said in a statement Thursday.
The US-based company said the funds are earmarked to quickly expand some of its commercial businesses, including Baseline, a platform to improve clinical research efficiency, and Verily Health Platforms, which aims to improve chronic disease management and clinical care delivery.
