Temasek, Kingsoft & Xiaomi invest in 21Vianet

Singapore wealth fund Temasek Holdings has joined software firm Kingsoft Corporation Limited and smartphone maker Xiaomi Corporation to invest about $296 million in Chinese data center firm 21Vianet, the company said.

As per the deal, Kingsoft will be investing around $172 million and will own about 11.6 per cent stake in 21Vianet, with around 19.9 per cent voting power, while Xiaomi will be investing $50 million for a 3.4 per cent interest and 10 per cent voting power, and Temasek will be owning 13.1 per cent of 21Vianet, with 5.8 per cent voting power for its $74 million investment in the data centre company.
