PE firm KV Asia said to put Malaysian hypermarket chain up for sale

Singapore-headquartered private equity firm KV Asia Capital is seeking buyers for Malaysian hypermarket chain TF Value Mart, according to two industry sources aware of the development.

The investment firm is learnt to be seeking as much as 1 billion ringgit ($238.6 million) for the retailer. The asset has already drawn interest from global private equity majors KKR & Co. and Warburg Pincus, said one of the executives.
