PH’s first neobank Tonik raises $131m in Mizuho-led Series B funding

Tonik Financial, the parent company of the Philippines’ first neobank Tonik, announced raising $131 million in its Series B funding round led by Mizuho Bank, one of the largest Japanese banking groups.

The Series B funding comes less than a year after the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), the central bank of the Philippines, approved the application of Tonik to operate a digital bank in the country.
