Indian edtech unicorn upGrad earmarks $30m for SE Asia expansion

upGrad, India’s largest online higher education platform, has earmarked as much as $30 million for its expansion in Southeast Asia, its co-founder and chairperson Ronnie Screwvala told DealStreetAsia.

The edtech unicorn is betting big on markets such as Singapore and Vietnam besides Indonesia and the Philippines. The company is also looking to tap the US market later.
