Temasek leads $50m funding round in US indoor farming startup Bowery

Prowler was valued at $100 million following its most recent round of investment led by Tencent Holdings in May.

Temasek, Pavilion Capital, Mapletree, Seatown Holdings and Sembcorp Industries invested in the fund.

Scommerce did not disclose the amount it had raised but said the investment from Temasek was its largest financing to date.

Bowery is part of a new crop of agriculture technology startups growing leafy greens in controlled environments near cities. Last year, San Francisco-based Plenty raised $200 million from the SoftBank Vision Fund.
