The deal space in Vietnam has recently seen another divestment activity with Singapore’s Orchid Capital Investment selling shares in Masan Group, one of Vietnam’s biggest private companies. Meanwhile, following the failure to purchase stake at DongA Bank for its foray into the financial services sector, Vietnamese food firm Kinh Do Corporation is now reportedly targeting to acquire 50 per cent of VietDragon Securities Company.
Orchid Capital offloads shares of Masan Group
Singapore-incorporated Orchid Capital Investments Pte Ltd has sold nearly 5.54 million shares of one of the largest Vietnamese private companies, Masan Group, to reduce its holding from 8.67 per cent to 7.93 per cent.
