Indonesia’s Xendit prioritises SE Asia expansion over IPO

Tessa Wijaya, Co-Founder & COO, Xendit

For the Indonesian digital payments platform Xendit, which joined the coveted unicorn club last year, a public listing is not a priority at the moment as it seeks to first expand its operations to other countries in Southeast Asia and dominate the market with more products.

“The idea one day is hopefully we can go public … but we are not really looking to explore that side of things yet because there is still a lot to be done. We’re just in the midst of regionalization,” Xendit co-founder and chief operating officer Tessa Wijaya said at DealStreetAsia’s Indonesia PE-VC Summit 2022.
