XYZ Robotics nets $35m and 23 more deal updates from Greater China

XYZ Robotics has completed a $35 million Series B round of financing led by Capital Today, a $2.5 billion fund that has also backed Chinese industry players such as JD.com, Meituan, and NIO.

Existing investors Gaorong Capital, 5Y Capital, and Source Code Capital made follow-on investments in the latest funding round. Investment bank Lighthouse Capital facilitated the transaction, as per a company statement on Tuesday.

XYZ Robotics plans to invest the fresh proceeds in product and technology innovations, and sales network advancements.

Set up in 2018 in Shanghai, XYZ Robotics specialises in the R&D of autonomous robotic tools. Its offerings can applied in industries like e-commerce, logistics, manufacturing, and healthcare to maximise efficiency in tasks such as sorting and picking.

Before the fresh round, in 2020, XYZ Robotics had garnered nearly $20 million in a Series A+ round from Grongrong Capital, Source Code Capital, and 5Y Capital. Its early-stage investors also include Sinovation Ventures, and New Bagnell.
