Sansan raised $26.43 million in Series E funding from Japan Post Capital, T. Rowe Price, SBI Investment and DCM Ventures.
The funds will be used for technological development and expanding into new categories such as beauty and personal care.
Dailyhunt raised over $6 million in a bridge round of funding in September but is now looking for fresh capital to build a war chest as it takes on newer, well-funded companies such as Tencent-backed NewsDog, Shunwei Capital-backed Sharechat and Toutiao’s Helo.
Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan, and Ranjan Pai, chairman, Manipal Education and Medical Group, also participated in the funding round.
Vedantu competes with online education startups including Byju’s and Unacademy.
Existing investors such as Bharath Innovation Fund, Axilor Ventures and BlueHill Capital Pvt Ltd joined the round.
The company said it will use the capital to get 100 million new customers on the platform in India and abroad, starting with Malaysia and followed by Singapore, Indonesia and other southeast Asian countries.
Existing investors of NinjaCart include Accel Partners, M&S Partners, Qualcomm Ventures and Nandan Nilekani’s NRJN Trust and Mistletoe.
