India Deal Monitor: Zumutor Biologics raises $4m and more updates

Biotechnology startup Zumutor Biologics has raised $4 million in fresh funding from the Bharat Innovation Fund and Accel Partners, according to media reports.

The latest round brings the startup’s total funding to $20 million to date.

The startup, which specialises in the immuno-oncology space, plans to use the fresh capital for a new drug filing for its lead molecule (ZM 008) in India, and for the first phase of clinical trials by the end of 2020.

We want reporters who can tell our readers what is really happening in these sectors and why it matters to markets, companies and consumers.   • A journalist to track special situations funds, distressed debt and private credit (from the PE angle) across Asia.
