IPOs not the best PE exit route right now in Asia: Bain & Co's Suvir Varma

As investors in Asia are challenged to beef up their exit strategies, initial public offerings (IPOs) as a channel for a partial or majority stake sale may not be the best exit route for private equity (PE) investments, says Suvir Varma, a partner with Bain & Company’s Southeast Asia practice who also leads the firm’s Asia Pacific Private Equity and Sovereign Wealth Fund practice.
