SGX Mainboard-listed integrated engineering solutions provider <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/isdn-holdings" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">ISDN Holdings</a> has entered into a strategic cooperation framework agreement with HKSE-listed Comtec Solar Systems Group, a solar energy enterprise.
ISDN is also listed on the HKSE. Its business interests include energy infrastructure projects in Southeast Asia, motion control systems for industries such as aerospace, medical and defence as well as production of high-yielding food crops using proprietary niche technology.
Comtec has been manufacturing ingots and wafers for solar use since 2004 but from 2016 embarked on a strategy of moving into the downstream solar business. Specifically, the enterprise targets rooftop distributed generation projects that utilise solar panels installed on industrial, commercial, and residential buildings.
The ISDN-Comtec partnership will see them leverage their own advantages and choose each other as partners on a priority basis for the development, design, construction and operation of solar power generation station projects. ISDN will conduct and source integration and develop such projects on its rooftops and spare space, with Comtec to provide all detailed technical and commercial support.
The two firms are planning to conduct further research and development and expand into other business lines such as power storage and microelectronics technology. ISDN will also provide a right of first refusal to Comtec for sales of roof distributed photovoltaic power stations it might develop in the future. The two firms will also fully cooperate in the business of power storage and electric bar charging to reach mutual benefits.
Teo Cher Koon, ISDN’s managing director and president, said, “We see tremendous potential in this collaboration, as it is a good fit on many levels – it leverages on ISDN’s core engineering competencies, it fits into our diversification strategy of renewable energy ventures, and even simply gives Comtec the opportunity to tap on our properties throughout the region for their rooftop solar projects. We will work closely together to explore a wide range of mutually beneficial opportunities.”

Cloud technology company <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/deskera" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Deskera</a> has partnered with <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/alibaba-cloud" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Alibaba Cloud</a>, the cloud computing arm of <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/alibaba-group" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Alibaba Group,</a> to provide a holistic solution to customer requirements in the exponentially expanding software as a service (SaaS) segment in the Middle East, Africa, India and China.
The collaboration will leverage Deskera’s integrated business suite consisting of ERP, CRM, HRMS, project management and learning management software and Alibaba Cloud’s marketplace and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) capabilities.
“The association between Deskera and Alibaba Cloud will leverage state-of-the-art technology and will greatly enhance the value to each of our customers. We must take advantage of the boom in the demand for cloud-based business software,” said Shashank Dixit, CEO, Deskera.

The Middle East and Africa market are considered by Deskera to be a huge untapped market that will provide rapid-growth to the company in 2017 and beyond.
