Australia’s Telstra has named Geraldine Kor as managing director, South Asia and country managing director Singapore, while Portfolio Advisors has promoted Chris Choi to managing director.

Telstra, an Australian telecommunications and technology company, has named Geraldine Kor as managing director, South Asia, and country managing director Singapore, according to an announcement.
In her new role, Geraldine will be responsible for South Asia markets including Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.
Geraldine has more than two decades of experience in both the global and regional technology industry and will oversee Telstra’s growth across the South Asian region.
Prior to joining Telstra, Geraldine was director of global alliances and partnerships for DXC Technology Asia Pacific. Geraldine also served as regional business operations director for Asia and director of marketing & communications at DXC Technology.
Portfolio Advisors appoints Chris Choi as MD
Independent, private markets investment firm Portfolio Advisors has promoted Chris Choi as managing director, AVCJ reported.
Chris joined Portfolio Advisors in 2015 and is a member of the Asia Investment team, primarily supporting the firm’s client services and marketing activities in Asia. Previously, he was a manager in the Alternatives Investment Division of Hanwha Life Insurance (formerly Korea Life Insurance), where he was engaged in both direct and fund investments across private debt and private equity strategies.
Prior to Hanwha Life, Chris was an associate director in the Investment Banking Division of Daiwa Securities in Seoul focused on M&A and capital markets transactions.
